Blue Eyes...and Red Hair?

I just took these pictures of Cooper yesterday. When I took the pictures I had opened up the door and opened the blinds to let in some natural light. The lighting made his eyes look really blue, and it also gave a red tint to his hair! I've noticed this before in a few pictures, but I wasn't sure if that meant that he really had some red in his hair...it doesn't look red in person, just in pictures. I guess we'll see as he gets older if he keeps some of that red! I think it's adorable!

The lighting in this picture made his eyes look really blue

This is the face he gives me when I'm trying to get him to look at the camera!

Happy Christmas!

Santa came...

he enjoyed his cookies & left some presents!

This Christmas was so fun! I loved watching my kids open their presents. That was the best part of my Christmas. Seeing the excitement on their faces was just awesome!

Ryan was so excited when he saw his "race car". Riley is opening up her pink guitar that she asked Santa for.

She loved the guitar and played it all morning! She also loved the Zhu Zhu pets from Grandma and Grandpa.

In this picture Ryan is waiting for Casey to put the batteries into his remote control car. He was pretty excited :)  You can see Cooper in the background wondering what is going on....

He knew something was a little different this morning...

It was cute because he could see how excited Riley and Ryan were and after a while he started to get excited, too!

He LOVES his present from Great-Grandma Riley! He played with it all morning!

They had so much fun playing with all their gifts!

This was such a fun Christmas...I just wish we were able to spend it with the whole family!

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas! We love you and miss you all!!

Making Cookies for Santa :)

The kids have been talking about Santa ever since we went to see him last week! I told them that we would makes cookies for him and they were so excited about it!

Here's Riley and Ryan making their cookies. They worked really hard on them!

Here's the finished product :)

We had a fun and relaxing Christmas Eve. The weather outside has been crazy and so it was nice not to have to drive anywhere today! We had fun just playing with the kids and helping them wrap presents for each other. It's so fun the see the excitement in their faces...I can't wait until tomorrow!

Riley gathered a bunch of her stuffed animals together and had them pulling the sleigh like Santa's reindeer.

Here's a picture of Cooper since I kind of left him out of this post!

Santa!

After Riley's Christmas Program we took the kids to see Santa. They were so excited to see him! I thought Ryan might be a little nervous, but he did great! This was the cutest Santa I've ever seen. He was so nice, and the kids loved him!

Riley asked Santa for a pink guitar and Ryan asked him for Harry Potter (I'm not sure exactly what he wants...I need to figure that out fast!!).

You can see how excited Ryan was in this picture. It was really cute!

All the kids with Santa.

When we were done seeing Santa, we took the kids to the playground.

That's Riley jumping off the mushroom, and Ryan is playing on the bridge in the back. They had a fun time!

Riley's Christmas Program

Yesterday Riley had a Christmas program at her school. She had been so excited about it all month. She did a great job and it was so fun to watch her and her cute little classmates.

Riley played the part of the Star.

Holding the star up high! She did a great job :)

Here she is after the play

After the play the kids changed out of their costumes and sang some Christmas songs.

She looked at me a lot throughout the program. I could tell she was so excited to have us there watching her and her friends.

Here's the class singing Jingle Bells. I think this was their favorite song! They were so cute!

Riley and her friend Anna.

Cooper was such a good boy during the program. He liked watching all the kids sing!

After Riley's program we took the kids to see Santa! I'll put some pictures up soon!

Fun in the Snow!

Riley and Ryan had so much fun playing in the snow on Saturday. Casey took them sledding down at the big playground and then they played on the huge snow mountains around our house!

Here's a picture of Riley climbing up the snow mountain.

Taking a break to pose for the camera.

Here's the big hill of snow in front of our house. The kids had fun throwing snowballs at Casey.

Snow Days

Riley's school was cancelled three days in a row this week because of the snow! It's funny because in Utah I can only remember maybe 3-4 snow days the whole time I was in school. I think the kids are getting restless from being stuck inside for 3 days (minus a few hours of play-time they've had outside in the snow). Tomorrow Casey is going to take them sledding again. They are so excited! Hopefully the snow won't be too icy.

Here's the front of our house. Our swing is pretty much burried.

Cooper looks so grown up now that he is sitting up by himself! It's crazy he'll be 7 months old at Christmas.

Winter Fun!

Riley and Ryan were so excited to see how much it has snowed today! All the schools in Omaha were cancelled and so Riley spent the whole day at home with me and the boys.

Here's what it looked like outside early this afternoon.

Our cute little Christmas tree. Riley and Ryan helped us put the ornaments on. It looks like the top needs a little help!

Cooper can sit up by himself now. He really likes being able to sit up and play with his toys. He's still a little wobbly, so I put a little protective circle of pillows around him for when he falls down.

I love all the funny looks he gives. I guess he didn't want me taking his picture today.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Casey was able to come home early from work today! Yay!! We got the kids all bundled up and Casey took them down to the big playground to go sledding. They had SOO much fun!
After sledding Riley and Ryan had fun playing around in the snow with their friends. It was hard to get them to come inside. They love the snow!
Yay for snow days! I'm excited to get all bundled up in blankets and watch Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince tonight! Woohoo!
