Cooper's First Day Home & Some Fun in the Sun

We brought Cooper home on Friday. The kids were very excited to have their baby brother home! Both Riley and Ryan love him so much. Ryan likes to talk about his "baby brother" and Riley loves to hold him and has been a great helper.

Fun in the SUN!!

On Saturday our neighbor had this huge slide in front of their house and a lot of the neighborhood kids came to play on it. Riley and Ryan had so much fun! That slide was pretty cool! The kids also had fun playing in the little pool.

Baby Cooper

Cooper Gary Taylor was born on Tuesday, May 26 at 9:11 am. He weighed 9 lbs 4oz and was 19.75 inches long. Everything went well with the c-section and both mommy and Cooper are doing great! We were able to bring him home on Friday and it's been wonderful to have him home. Both Riley and Ryan are so excited to have a new little brother. More pictures coming soon!

a little update and some pics

I know it's been awhile since I've updated the blog. We really haven't had anything going on...mostly just getting things ready for the new baby.
Next week is Riley's last week of school. She has really loved school. She has a great teacher and she loves all her friends at school. I think she will be a little sad when she realizes she won't have school again until the fall.
Ryan has been a lot of fun. He has such a funny personality...he can be the sweetest little boy one minute, and then the next minute he will be chasing Riley with his foam baseball bat. He loves watching baseball with Casey. I think we might have a little baseball player someday! He also loves to hug and kiss my tummy. Both kids seem pretty excited about the new baby coming. It will be interesting to see how they react when he's actually here!

Easter Fun

On Saturday Casey took the kids to the Lauritzen Gardens to see the Easter Bunny!


This picture makes me laugh. Ryan didn't really know what to think about the bunny....Casey had to keep pushing him closer so he could get a picture.

Then later that afternoon, Village Green had it's annual Easter Egg hunt down at the playground.

Here's Ryan getting some eggs. He only picked up a couple before he wanted to find out what was inside!

Riley is pretty competitive and so she ended up getting a lot more eggs than Ryan did. She was nice and shared some of her eggs with Ryan :)

Ryan was happy to find that most of the eggs had candy in them.

Here is what the Easter Bunny brought for the kids. The Easter Bunny got a really good deal on the scooters, courtesy of craigslist :)
