Riley's Song

So, most of the time Riley is pretty energetic and lively, but occasionally she does have her more subdued moments....

Village Green Easter Egg Hunt!

Sorry Mom for taking so long to post something new....this post will make up for that because there are a bunch of pictures!

So today Village Green had it's Easter Egg Hunt at the main playground. It was pretty cold today, but both Riley and Ryan still had a lot of fun! Riley was really excited because last night we went to the mall and she sat on the Easter Bunny's lap and we told her that he was going to come and hide some eggs for us at the playground. Here are some pictures:

Riley and Ryan waiting to go outside. They were both really excited!

Riley's first egg! (it's kind of hard to see...it's the same color as her jacket!)

Running to get some more eggs!

Everyone having fun!

Now it's Ryan's turn!

Hogle Zoo!

Last Thursday we went to the Hogle Zoo with Nate and Becca and my Dad. Riley loved the playground...she played on that big snake slide most of the time and she even helped Ryan go down it!

Here's a video of Riley helping Ryan ride down the slide:

Discovery Gateway

Last week when we were in Utah we went to the Children's Museum at the Gateway Mall. We all had a great time! I think the kids liked the water exhibit the best.....Here are some pics!

Here's a video of Ryan playing with the water exhibit:

Airplane Ride!

Saturday was Ryan's very first airplane ride, and it was Riley's first ride as a paying customer....she's been on a few other flights, but I don't think she would remember any of them. Both kids did really well on the plane. Riley was so excited and stayed awake during most of the flight...she fell asleep right as the plane was landing. She liked looking out the window and seeing the frog that was painted on the wing of the plane. Ryan liked the take off and once we were in the air for a few minutes he fell asleep for the rest of the flight.
We had a connecting flight and so we landed in Denver and had a layover for a couple of hours. Our friends Justin and Meghan, and Matt were on the same flights as us and so we hung out with them during the layover. Riley didn't cause too much trouble : )...and Ryan had fun walking around exploring the terminal.
On our flight from Denver to Utah both kids slept the whole time. The whole day went smoothly until we landed in Utah...we had a few delays at the gate and then it took forever to get our luggage and when we finally got it it was soaked. Poor Ryan had to ride to Grandma's house in a wet carseat! For the most part we had a pretty easy traveling day and we were glad to finally get to Grandma's house!

Having fun at Grandma's after a long day of traveling:
