The Prairie Dog Rest Stop

The kid's definitely thought that this was the best rest stop ever! They had so much fun!

Drive to Utah

This picture pretty much explains how Ryan feels about the 15 hour car ride from Omaha to Utah:

The kids actually did really well for the most part. We left at about 4 in the morning and got to Utah later that evening.





The kids favorite part of the trip was when we stopped at this rest stop in Wyoming and there were tons of prairie dogs. The kids loved them! I'll post some pictures soon!

Ryan's Silly Face

Once in a while Ryan will make this funny face when he is acting silly. It's the funniest face ever! A couple of days ago I was able to get some pictures:

Happy Birthday Dad!!

Happy 4th of July!

Riley, Ryan, and Sadie had fun throwing snaps and watching Casey light a few small fireworks. When it got dark we drove around and watched all the firework shows around Omaha from our car. Riley will be excited when we get to see some more fireworks on the 24th when we go to Utah!




The kids waited patiently while Casey tried to get the black snakes to work.

Movie time with Grampa and Gramma!

We had a fun time when my parents came to visit. They came just a couple days after the big storm and so we still didn't have any power at our house. We decided to all stay at a hotel until the power came back on. We had fun watching some movies and Riley had a blast swimming with daddy! On Monday we went to the Bass Pro Shop and then we took the kids to see Kung Fu Panda. This was the first time we've taken the kids to see a movie. Riley was so excited! It was a really cute movie, and we all had a good time!

The power finally came on the last day my parents were here and so we were able to spend a little bit of time at our house!

Storm

This storm was pretty scary! I think we were lucky not to have any damage to our house. The worst part was not having any power for 4 days. My parents came on Sunday and my dad was sad he missed the storm!
